Introducing InterCall Phone Conferencing for Poverty Law

NTAP has partnered with InterCall Global Conferencing Solutions to offer the legal aid community and its affiliates premier telephone conferencing service at rates our nonprofit community can afford. In addition, InterCall has partnered with NTAP to enable our referrals to generate a donation back to NTAP. Just think: in addition to getting quality phone service at a competitive rate, your program (and your partners) are helping to sustain NTAP just by doing your work!

1. Competitive Pricing: 5.9 cents!

There is one rate available to legal aid programs and their affiliates at 5.9 cents. InterCall donates a penny per minute to NTAP for your usage! To begin, fill out an online form or contact your account representative. You'll need to indicate your billing code (A, B, or C). The rates for all three are the same, but it helps to catalogue who is using the service.

  • Billing Code A: LSC-Funded Legal Aid Programs. Select Billing Code A is your program is a local, nonprofit (501c3) legal aid program that receives funding from the Legal Services Corporation.
  • Billing Code B: Non-LSC Funded Legal Aid Programs. Select Billing Code B if your program is a local, nonprofit (501c3) legal aid program.
  • Billing Code C: Other Partner. Select this rate if your program is a court, national or regional nonprofit, board member, nonprofit affiliate, or for-profit partner.

2. On-Demand Toll-Free Conference Call with Full Features.

InterCall is offering the poverty law community Reservationless-Plus conferencing (ResPlus). You get a number with a PIN that you can use at any time for your conference calls. You do not have to schedule the calls beforehand. There are no operators or time limits. You receive permanent dial-in information for all of your calls. With ResPlus, each participant dials a toll-free number. You can manage your account online at www.intercall.com.

While most of us use phone conferencing for basic use, InterCall offers Full Features (PDF), which include audio recording, optional operator assistance, waiting rooms, quick starts, and post-conference emails. (Note: Some of these features are subject to additional costs.)

Overview of Features:

  • On Demand: No reservations required and no operator necessary.
  • One toll-free number, PIN, and conference ID
  • Pay only for usage
  • Easy-to-Use Keypad Commands
  • Record and Playback your Audio (additional charge equivalent to extra participant on the line)
  • Organizer can select language for system prompts (English, Spanish, or Portuguese).

3. High Telephone Quality.

NTAP has heard and had complaints about telephone line quality or dial-in hassles of other free or low-cost phone conferencing services. We look forward to benefiting from InterCall's quality service. Already this year, InterCall has won distinction with the 2007 North American Conferencing Company of the Year Award by Frost & Sullivan.
