NTAP is immediately seeking a person to act as an online community organizer to provide targeted support to legal aid programs as they integrate technology in the daily work of their organization. The position will focus on legal aid programs’ development and use of robust “statewide websites” – portal websites alive in most states that are designed to be a hub for information and services to both low-income people and the entire justice community within a state.
This position provides strategic, editorial and technological advice; serves as a critical communication link among states on website tools, technologies and training opportunities available; identifies barriers to the success of implementing technology tools (especially the statewide website) and researches and coordinates the community on possible solutions or lessons learned; and keeps abreast on current technology uses in the private sector and envisions how to use them in a legal aid context to help lawyers work effectively. Additionally, the position will develop resource materials for website coordinators; maintain the LSNTAP.Org library sections on statewide websites and other assigned technologies, facilitate regular meetings among state partners; and travel on-site to problem-solve project issues, conduct outreach and promote the project to diverse audiences.
