Below are the worksheets used at the 2015 TIG Conference Session on Collaborative Game Design. The worksheets were developed parallel to Dr. Harteveld's Triadic Game Design (TGD) book to educate about TGD a model which incorprates reality, meaning, and play in game design. New Haven Legal Assistance partnered with NuLawLab and Dr. Harteveld to create a game which could better prepare self-represented litigants for their day in court.
We all know that usability testing is critical, but with COVID, we can't do it like we used to. Join LSNTAP, MAP, and GAP for an in-depth look at how to take your usability testing skills to the next level - virtual! In this 90-minute workshop, you'll get a quick brush-up on usability testing and then we'll focus on how to get the best results using online tools to connect with end-users remotely. We'll also hear from four community members about their experiences doing remote usability training.
Who are the people you look to in the #LegalAid #LegalTech field? Has anyone been influential in shaping your philosophy? Who always seems to be on the cutting edge? Who is writing about tech for the legal aid/non-profit market? If there is a podcast, publication, or news source we should include, let us know.

Email. No matter whether you love it or hate it, it is a part of the office routine for many. However, there are ways to make it less time consuming. One of those ways is through the use of templates for emails that need to be sent frequently using standard wording. Today, we will focus on how to create templates in Gmail. Then, we will be back next time with directions for Outlook.

Where once the case book used to be a standard piece of equipment and decor for law offices, modern law offices rely on their tech stack to get things done. So, we have begun assembling this database for legal aid organizations to use as a springboard for their research on what technology product they could use to complete gaps in their tech stack or to replace aging solutions.
Today, we are launching our next crowdsourced database which will focus on technology based consumer self-help solutions. These may be things such as web based information hubs, online portals, or websites that help consumers complete paperwork. Examples include Upsolve, the Filing Fairness Project, or Michigan Legal Help. If it is out there and designed to help consumers with legal issues, we want to know about it and include it in the database.
Assessment Test
Scenario: You chose a design for your website and you've just implemented your first prototype, you want to know if it's working as planned.What/Why: These tests are done early on or midway through your design after your early concepts are implemented. The assessment test helps you evaluate the effectiveness of your website. You may want to do several rounds as you make changes.
As we continue building our tech stack database, I want to add a tech vendor and service provider database. We get so many requests for this information that it makes sense to create this resource. Knowing what your company's expertise is will also help LSNTAP better share opportunities.
RSS stands for "Rich Site Summary" and it is a dialect of XML. Although the technical definition of RSS isn't the easiest to understand, don't let that scare you away from this useful timesaving tool.
If you are unfamiliar with RSS, I recommend this short video: RSS in Plain English. It explains RSS simply and shows you how to subscribe to feeds by looking for this logo on your favorite blogs and websites.
