LSNTAP Launches a New Resource for the Community: the RFP Library

Over the last two years, LSNTAP staff has pored over the listserv archive to find all of the Request for Proposals (RFP) that have been shared. This summer, our intrepid law clerk Kristofer Greig classified each of those RFPs by category, area of concern, and desired outcome. Kris also made note of the budget and timeline for each RFP. The resulting database brimming with information has been dubbed the LSNTAP RFP Library.

The RFP Library is meant to be a resource for the community to use as a reference when crafting RFPs. By looking at the examples in the library, organizations will have a starting point on what to include, things to consider, how much time a project may require, and budget.

The Library is one of the resources LSNTAP has introduced over the last two years that fall within the Crowdsourced category. The resources within this category have been created as a direct result of requests from the community and with the participation of the community. In order to provide the resources to the community as quickly as possible, these resources are created without any associated funding. Thus, they may be a bit rougher around the edges than other resources that LSNTAP offers. Over time, many of these resources will get a makeover; for now, LSNTAP staff hopes that the lack of perfection will not be the enemy of the good.
